Bluetooth-enabled accessory adds some fun to phone notifications
TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Ever been tired of “hearing” your ringtones? iScent may shed some light! With a built-in atomizer, this tower-shaped gadget works with your phone and releases a custom mist as notifications arrive, like a modern version Chinese Wolf Tower.
iScent is quite easy to use. Users simply have to put some aromatic water inside the tower, and personalize the trigger, such as phone call, text, email, in the iScent App. Compatible with both iOS and Android, iScent works under two different modes. User can set it to the notification mode to have the custom scented mist release whenever the phone receives notifications; or choose the “Party mode” to see an equalized mist dance to music or speech.
iScent was developed by Qblinks team. “iScent atomizes water rather than boils it, so the atomized mist is 100% safe, and you can even replace the aromatic water with different liquid,” said Samson Chen, co-founder of Qblinks.
The same team launched the product “Qblinks” on Kickstarter earlier this year. According to the latest update on their former campaign, the team decided to separate Qblinks’ concept to multiple products as it didn’t reach the funding goal, and iScent is the first one making its debut.
