Jinxsoft presents Luna Park World – a strategy based board game in which teen heroes must save an amusement park from the guardians who want to shut it down and ruin their fun. The concept for the game initially developed from a father’s desire to create a board game for his young daughters. After five enjoyable years of playing and reshaping this game with friends and family, Jinxsoft’s designer Makis Avramidis would like to share this fast paced duel of wits and will with the world.
With donations provided through kickstarter, Jinxosft pledges to create an entertaining game with appealing characters, beautiful board pieces, miniature gameplay figurines, a compelling storyline as well as exciting game modes. Essentially the goal is to create a game that can be played over and over again, yet however feels fresh and exciting every time that it is played. In order to encourage ongoing fun, the game has three distinct game modes: Competitive, Co-operative, and Campaign. In addition to being a traditional dice rolling board game, it provides the opportunity to move using movement cards making the game even more strategic. Moreover there will be a supplementary augmented reality phone/tablet application to display special information hidden from the peering eyes of other players.
The Story:
There is an old myth saying that deep in the Caribbean Sea there is a small secluded island. It is named “Isle of the Playful Moon”. Twenty years ago, the owner of the island Mr Scotty lost its ownership on a hand of poker. The new owner an eccentric British entrepreneur decided to fulfil his dream by building a Luna Park on his new property. Sadly for him, the staff he chose to run the park were not the most suitable candidates for such endeavour…
Years of poor maintenance and negligence have brought the park in a state of desertion and total disarray. Mr Funfair was ready to give up his dream and return home when he saw a small life boat named Shinky reaching his island. The teens in that life boat are the last survivors of a shipwreck and his only hope to restore his park and keep his dream alive.
