BiT.Defence is an independently developed game that deals with strong themes of oppression and how a small square can have feelings too…

Unlike most video game developers that spend months at a time developing strong, realistic characters for their games – Zealot Game Studios has gone the opposite way. Their new independently developed title; BiT.Defence, doesn’t feature any large abundance of normal characters. The main character’s name, BiT, is a testament to that. It’s a simplistic approach to the genre of stealth and action that makes the game easy to play. Coupled with a strangely humane square virus – it’s also hard to put down.

The developers have decided to put their creation up on popular crowd-funding site; Kickstarter, in order to gain enough funds to make their vision attainable. There are several tiers that backers can back – with every pledge over $10 the backer gets a copy of the game on release.

Zealot Game Studios chose Kickstarter to house their first project and      backers will be able to receive many different special packages based on the amount of money they pledge to the project. Some (most) of these packages have been designed with pieces of items exclusively designed for Kickstarter.

The game will feature a story component dealing with themes of oppression, self-realization and how a utopian environment can also be a dystopian hell. It will also sport an incredibly simplistic stealth-based gameplay coupled with puzzle and action element (found prevalently in the over-the-top extra game modes like Endless Mode).

The project can be found, obviously, on Kickstarter as well as Facebook.
