Genio, an educational project on the ideas of the Renaissance is now on Kickstarter here.
Genio is a project proposing an innovative approach to the ideas of the Renaissance by using different media: videogames, toys, 3D models.
The project creators are Alexander Neuwahl (a researcher on Renaissance technology) and Pietro Polsinelli (a developer and game designer). Via Genio Pietro and Alexander will create
- a card based videogame playable by all that explores the innovative ideas of the Renaissance
- 3D printable models of da Vinci machines
and also produce (for the first time) toys designed by Leonardo da Vinci himself.
The project has a dedicated site here.
Putting together Alexander researches and previous works with museums, and Pietro’s programming and game design experience, this is a wholly original project that includes a new game play idea and original research in da Vinci notes.
