KYMIRA Sport products are being called the next evolution in sporting apparel. Their garments have been clinically proven to enhance performance and recovery by harnessing the wearer’s surplus energy and causing a response at a cellular level.
With 9 clinical studies published to date in support of their technology, KYMIRA Sport started trading in September 2013, intent on being the world’s first sportswear brand to bring technology of this kind to the market. Since then they have been developing loyal customer base in Australasia, the Middle East/MENA region, mainland Europe, the UK and the US.
The range of products work by harnessing energy being emitted by the wearer and converting it into Infrared, the harder you work, the more energy their products can harness. At rest the average human will emit approximately 100 watts of energy, which is entirely wasted. When doing intense exercise such as basketball this will increase to over 1,000 watts of wasted energy. The infrared that is subsequently emitted by the products then has a number of biological effects on the wearer such as:
– An increase in circulation
– An increase in tissue oxygen levels of up to 20% compared to standard products
– Pain alleviation
– Aided recovery and also the performance of the fabrics themselves:
– Quick drying fabrics
– Thermoretentive
It may seem a little far-fetched that wearing some sportswear can do all this but KYMIRA’s growing customer base are a good indicator that their products do what they say on the tin. U23 GB rower Sam Twine told us that “I always wear my KYMIRA leggings for weight sessions due to their pain relieving properties and they allow me to push harder” he then went on to say that while he was not sure if they would do everything they claim to do at first, he is now fully convinced that they do, adding “I also sleep in the leggings after a hard days training”.
If you are still not convinced, or are now desperate to get some of this cutting edge kit for yourself they are currently running a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for their second phase production order.
