THE VISION
Created by a completely independent cast and crew, BACKGROUND NOISE will be the first low-budget, short film created by newcomer director, Patrick Stelter.
Patrick Stelter, hard at work on his first short film “Flowers in the Attic”
The vision for Background Noise is to create a low budget, but high quality horror/thriller film which seeks inspiration from renowned director’s, David Fincher (Zodiac, Gone Girl), and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive). Eerie in tone, and sincere in message, BACKGROUND NOISE represents the high levels of psychological trauma that any regular individual may suffer as a result of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
THE STORY
Background Noise follows on a year after young woman, Sojourner goes missing. Presumed dead by many and police investigations long ceased, everyone seems to have forgotten about her. Everyone but her twin brother, Marcus who still suffers seemingly large amounts of mental and physical stress due to the absence of his sister. Unable to be comforted by family or friends, Marcus is haunted by visions and memories of the past. The question is, what happened to Sojourner?
