2015 April 8th – Koti Games launched the crowdfunding campaign of Battle Arena Show, a board game inspired by the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) videogames, such as League of Legens or DOTA 2. The game includes high-detailed miniatures inspired by archetypes of cinema and TV. The game has been launched through Kickstarter platform:
Apparently, Koti Games kept some surprises for the Kickstarter campaign, as the game has been launched with 9 heroes instead of the initial 6. As they say, they have prepared interesting contents that will be unraveled as Stretch Goals during the campaign. In addition, they have added a reward level at a reduced price for the first backers.
For those of you who don’t know what the game consists of, Battle Arena Show takes place in an alternate reality where man has developed a time-travel technology. The game recreates a macabre television show where fighters brought from all parts of the world and from every conceivable age, clash in a death battle for the prestigious title of Battle Arena Master. Two to six players organized into two teams will face each other. Each player controls one or more heroes, represented by greatly-detailed miniatures, and each possessing powers that make them unique. The heroes will fight in fierce and epic battles in order to destroy the enemy base while trying to defend their own.
