Cats ‘n Cards is an improve card game where “Who’s Line Is It, Anyway?” meets “Cards Against Humanity.”
The goal is to combine cards that ask the most bizarre question, and challenge the next player to ask that question in a straight face. If you get a laugh, you get a point. The other players then have to answer that question. Again, if you get a laugh – you get a point!
For instance: “You guys, how should I tell my girlfriend that I’ve been…”An answer card might be: “talking like a banana,” or “blasting to the past,” or “dumping peanut butter into people’s graves.”
The answer cards go on and on. And as you can tell, these aren’t the kinds of questions you can easily say with a straight face. These are the kinds of questions that will make you bust out laughing. And the harder you and your friends try to hold your composure, the tougher it will be to not erupt into laughter.
On top of these hilarious challenges, cat cards will pop up every now and then. These cats are like the wild cards in Uno. They’ll let you skip turns, assassinate (really, Catssassinate) other cats, abduct other players’ points, and on and on.
You’ll also have the misfortune of running into iguana cards. Iguanas are your sworn enemy. They will rear their stupid-looking faces out of the deck, bite the daylights out of your cats so that you cannot use them anymore, then scamper off into the night. You might run into just one. You might run into a whole fleet of them. You may even run into the Deus ex Iguana himself.
And lastly, you will encounter burritos. Extremely. Mysterious. Burritos. Perhaps a whole flock of them. Perhaps you will even encounter…the Most Extremely Mysterious Burrito. These burritos float. They are all-knowing. Ask them anything, and they will answer – but only through a player of your choosing. If that player so much as smirks while answering your ridiculous question, you get points. Mad points.
