Oklahoma City, OK | September 16, 2015 — Smart.E today announces the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for the Smart.E Smartphone Light. Designed to improve night, backlit and low-light video and photography, the Smart.E is the world’s first portable soft box light for the smartphone.

With over 80% of US consumers using their smartphone for shooting video and photos (source: Shutterfly survey, 2014), the movement away from dedicated cameras and towards smartphone cameras is now fully realized. With that movement has come a range of smartphone tripods and monopods, along with some small, low quality lights. The Smart.E is the first light for that is designed to bring professional quality accessories to smartphone photography and video.

With 16 bright constant light LEDs, the Smart.E outputs 3 watts of lighting power. A built-in lithium battery powers the lights, providing up to 4 hours of usage on a single change. The smartphone cradle expands to hold and support most smartphones, including iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy Note and LG G4 size phones.
