I have had a creative spirit since I was a kid. I would always make up games that I hoped others would enjoy. Over the past month and a half I have worked with friends and family on a game that I think everyone can relate to.
This game has two aspects. One is the mix and match card format made popular by Apples to Apples and Cards against humanity but with a twist! On each card there is a fact. Instead of matching two nonsensical phrases you match a fact card with an Alternative fact card. The alternative fact card actually has facts on it but by mixing two facts together you get an alternative fact!
The second way to play is using the game board. The Rules for the board are simple! The game is played the same as without the board except at the end of each round you will move the game peg towards the time machine. The person with the least points will have a chance at changing history by writing an “alternative fact” on a blank card. That person will also write a “fact” (but they won’t tell anyone what that “fact” is). Everyone will try to write a “fact” to go with the “alternative fact”. The person with the least points will choose just like in the regular game but with this twist! If someone wrote a fact that matches the fact that the chooser wrote (doesn’t have to be perfect just needs to be the gist of it!) than the chooser gets 5 points and no one else gets points that round.
There are multiple tiers on Kickstarter if you would like to help us create the game. From just being able to download all the cards originally created (not just the ones going to production) before anyone else all the way up to basically preordering the game and board. If you are very generous you will also be able to add a fact of your own that we will send to production!
