Live on Kickstarter now! Runicah is a Norse themed set collection card game for 2-5 players. This is the first game from new developers The Playful Gnome. Runicah centres around the notion of players taking turns to complete trials in order to collect runes. Once players have 4 out of the 5 runes on their Runekeeper card they win, simple. The main focus of the game however is around player interactions.The trials will vary in difficulty but will on a majority of occasions be unmanagable by one player. This means cooperation, negotation, and maybe even a little exploitation of your opponents. Runicah has been in development now for around 18 months and has been thoroughly play tested, tweaked, and play tested again. It is.near completion with funding now required.to go into manufacture.
The Playful Gnome has teamed up with artist Álvaro Nebot to bring the game to you completed with fantastic artwork in a brilliantly complementary style. The crow dfunding campaign has a goal of £12,000 and is running from April 14th to May 13th. The main reason for thw goal this size is due to minimum order restrictions from the manufacture and to account for the fact that Kickstarter includes shipping fees as a part of the pledge and that counts towards the goal.
