My name is Arnór Gíslason. First off I want to salute you guys for great work with your community. Me and my business partner, Arnar Steinn, are diving head-first into crowdfunding… and wow, what an intense adventure it has been so far.

Reading your guys´s blog posts has been really helpful in our preparation for our first crowdfunding experience.

In any case, I have a question.

First, quick backstory about how we got into crowdfunding:

Me and Arnar are from Iceland and we have been on a quest to do what we can to help legalize weed for several years. And the fact that you are labelled a „criminal“ for lighting up and being unlucky (caught) is beneath our understanding.

Fortunately this is not the case everywhere, but unfortunately it still is in most countries. America is undoubtedly one of the most influential countries in the world and it´s beautiful to see their progress in this fight. More than 20% of people over 21 in the US can legally light up.

Still, routine drug tests, to detect cannabis, are most common in the US. That means loss of employment and even jail sentences. And that´s nothing compared to some parts of East Asia and Southeast Asia were the sale of cannabis may lead to life imprisonment or execution.

We live in a time and age where it´s possible to reach out to millions of people, through various channels and methods. Pioneers are already building communities, in this landscape, to fight for what they believe is right.

This is not a fist fight! This fight is fought with reliable data, information and Attention. Attention being the biggest part! When me and Arnar realized that our home country (Iceland) is the biggest weed smoking country in the world, proportionally, we knew we were supposed to make an impact and help legalizing weed.

But let´s face it. Me and Arnar can´t legalize weed. But what if we could use, the power of attention and word to mouth, to help break the stigma around weed? That´s why we started creating an innovating product that is fun, sociable and family friendly. And label it with the infamous cannabis leaf.

That product is Cron Island The Board Game. The mission of this sandbox game is the same as ours. Legalize weed! Then we discovered Crowdfunding and how we can gain attention through a weel organized Crowdfunding campaign to gain Attention.

We believe that innovating products, can and will improve public opinion on weed. Improving the public opinion is the first step to, even hope, for legalization worldwide. We are already getting really good responses on social media and we haven´t even launched yet with 50.000 followers on Facebook within a matter of weeks.

We want to spread our vision rather then the product itself, so people will see that creativity and innovation allows everybody to contribute to this cause. Just imagine weed labelled products sitting on the shelves in normal homes. It makes it nearly impossible for people to be prejudice. Bye bye weed stigma!
