The launch of the Founded in Scotland crowdfunding project on Crowdfunder.co.uk will prove to be a boost for Scottish startup businesses and startup accelerators. Every startup which is part of the Founded in Scotland initiative will benefit from the funding as the initiative’s curators make improvements to their startup platform, startup network and increase marketing and promotion. Scotland as a whole will benefit from the development of the initiative as startups gain exposure and develop into larger scale businesses, engaging with other local businesses, hiring local people and paying taxes.

The Founded in Scotland initiative is a tribute to Scotland’s startups and startup accelerators, showcasing each startup’s logo in a clean, minimalist and uncluttered design. The curator hopes the crowdfunding will bring improved website features, database integration, and navigation, coupled with enhanced rich blog content with extensive service information to help visitors and those involved in the startup scene.

Members of the Founded in Scotland initiative benefit from worldwide exposure, mentions and promotion across social networks, as well as access to a global startup community with over 1,600 members in over 100 countries.

The Founded in Scotland initiative first launched in September 2015, and is located at the new web address: www.foundedinscotland.com. Designed towards user experience from the outset, the initiative was curated by Moira Stewart, director of ISFX, using the latest technology so the site is compatible with the latest browsers and mobile devices – without the need for Adobe® Flash to view the content.

“As every entrepreneur and startup founder knows, each project presents unique challenges, and that is what the Founded in Scotland initiative faces right now as we develop and promote the Founded in Scotland initiative. The project has been funded by the project’s curators so far, but to continue and progress the initiative to the next stage requires funding,” said Moira Stewart, Principal Curator of the Founded in Scotland initiative. “We’re offering some exclusive Founded in Scotland memorabilia in return for supporters’ financial support. This will allow the initiative to continue publishing, and promoting Scotland’s startups and our vibrant startup ecosystem. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who offers their support.”

Scotland has a rich history of innovation, and the initiative aims to continue the region’s growing reputation as one of the hottest tech startup hubs; a centre at the forefront of cutting-edge technological innovation and design.

Furthermore, the Founded in Scotland website features blog articles, allowing visitors to share pages of interest with others across a variety of social media networks – Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, and E-mail.
