Body Builder is a competitive cards games with a sarcastic, upside-down take on fitness, healthy eating, dieting and society pressuring you into conformity.

In our game everything that is considered bad for you in the real world is classified as good and heroic, and all the healthy stuff (like the nasty carrot above) is pure evil. The aim of the game is to gain body mass, but it’s not the muscles we are talking about.

We are calling ourselves Box Clever Games and are very excited to present our unique game. Body Builder is very easy to learn, funny, dynamic and quick to play, but extremely addictive. We need your help in bringing it to life.

The story of Body Builder started about 10 months ago, during our weekly game night. We ordered some pizzas, but one of our group – Luka said he’s abstaining because he’s on a diet. He then proceeded to munch on a salad complaining that everything good in life is bad for you. This turned into a long and silly conversation about diets, healthy and not-so-much foods, weight loss industry and life in general. We found ourselves trying to come up with evil alter-egos for healthy foods, and heroic ones for all the delicious fast foods. We did it partially because it seemed to be torturous for Luka and it was funny. Bilbo started drawing our ideas with a pencil (you can find those early sketchings on our Instagram), and the idea was born. What if we could turn it into a card game? Something that is easy to learn, quick to play and funny. Fast forward 10 months and here we are. We played our game countless times using hand-drawn cards in sleeves, and we changed the rules many time s to achieve the best game experience. We believe that it is ready now for Kickstarter. With your graciously received pledges we will produce a game that you will enjoy playing with your friends and families. Body Builder is a game with a very changing dynamic. Certain cards and plays can easily turn a leader who’s about to win the game, into a player with least body mass cards. Plan your every move carefully and always count on other players messing up your most masterful plan at the last second.
