Do you have a creative child that loves to doodle? What about playing board games? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then you should check out The Silly Friends Drawing Game, available on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.

The Silly Friends Drawing Game is a tabletop game designed to help the player learn how to draw and inspire creativity by using chance to generate fun, unique, playful, Silly Friends. The game consist of 36 Silly Friends, spread across 6 games, with their body parts disassembled into 10 categories; starting with the face and finishing with the feet. The objective of the game is to have each player create their own fun, unique, playful, Silly Friend drawing by rolling a dice for each of the 10 categories and drawing the body parts that are associated with those number. The combinations of results are practically endless.

It’s being marketed as a learning game because as the player continues to play the game, their drawings get progressively better. The game does a great job displaying their 36 Silly Friends in full color at the top of each game card, standing above their dissembled body parts in the chart below. This gives the player a reference to how each part should look in terms of scale as they are creating their own Silly Friend drawing. Also, by having their character’s body parts broken down into 10 categories, it makes what might come across as a complicated drawing, very simple. When the player can focus on the lines needed to make just the eyes, the nose, the chest, etc. it makes drawing a whole lot less intimidating.

And for those that already know how to draw or aren’t so concerned with being the next great sketch artist, the game is still a lot of fun to play. As the player is making their way through the 10 categories and mixing and matching different character’s body parts, it can get a bit silly! Hints the name, The Silly Friends. Your kids will be laughing the entire time, not even realizing they are also getting better at drawing.

The Silly Friends Drawing Game is currently looking to raise $8,000 to bring this product to market. If you would like a copy of the game, considering backing their project, no live on Kickstarter.
