On August 2, 2017, Fore Play Golf LLC is pleased to announce the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for TeeBags, a retrofit kit that turns a cornhole board into a golf game.

Founded by a Chicago designer and a Silicon Valley engineer who love golf, TeeBags is a light, thin, board that sits on top of both tailgate-sized and tournament-sized cornhole boards and transform it into a golf chipping game.

“We made this for us,” said Rich Kang, co-founder and designer of TeeBags. “We simply combined activities we love doing – golf and backyard games, in the company of friends and family.”

TeeBags comes with the target board(s), eight foam balls, a mesh bag to hold the balls, a heavy duty rubber base chipping mat, and a free download of a rules and score-tracking iOS app. Scores can be tracked either through “Bags Scoring” – 5 points in the hole, 3 points on the green, 1 point in the rough, or “Golf Scoring” – eagle (-2) in the hole, birdie (-1) on the green, par (0) in the rough, and bogey (+1) for a miss. The short grass and long grass were strategically designed so the balls (like bean bags on top of a cornhole board) won’t roll off the green or rough, allowing multiple ways to score. Available gameplays and score-tracking via iOS app include TEEBAGS (cornhole scoring), 101 (first to 0 points starting with 101), MATCH PLAY, STROKE PLAY, and SKINS,

“Gameplay was extremely important to us,” said Ryan Park, co-founder of TeeBags. “We scrutinized and iterated every detail – the length and angle of the grass, the width and stiffness of the blades, the feel of the ball coming off the club – to optimize the game for maximum enjoyment.”

“You won’t be able to stop playing,” claims Rich. “We probably would’ve launched sooner had we not had so much fun playing our prototypes.”

TeeBags gameifies traditional golf training aids in a fun, competitive way that can be used both indoors and outdoors without the risk of breaking or damaging objects with the use of foam balls.

TeeBags is being offered at special pricing through Kickstarter starting at $59.00.
