Long Beach, CA — Gallery Drinkware, creators of elegant reusable glass bottles and drinkware featuring iconic art, is taking to the internet to help fund their latest project: a Vincent Van Gogh collection of bottles and drinkware. After two years of focusing primarily on marine life paintings and as official licensees of the art of Wyland, Guy Harvey, and Drew Brophy, Gallery Drinkware is thrilled to venture into a different artistic realm. They aim to bring the art of Van Gogh into the homes of as many people as possible in an incredible unique and functional way.

Gallery Drinkware officially launched in January of 2015, at which time their only product was a signature limited-edition liter bottles featuring the brilliant work of marine life artist Wyland. Far from ordinary, these bottles began to catch the attention of more and more people as the months and then years went by. Each of Gallery Drinkware’s premium Italian Rocco Bormioli glass water bottles features a 22-karat liquid gold frame through which artwork is viewed– the art is actually on a decal which is applied and baked onto the back of each bottle in a highly hands-on, detailed process. When one views the art through the liquid contents in the bottle, it creates a remarkable effect—the art appears to almost be suspended in the liquid, giving it a three-dimensional appearance. As people have continued to fall in love with these extraordinary bottles, Gallery Drinkware has grown to expand their products, designing glass drinkware lines including limited-edition double o ld fashioned glasses, glass coffee mugs, beer mugs, pint glasses, and double shot glasses.

Since the company’s inception, Gallery Drinkware has always aimed to make art both affordable and functional, focusing on tying beauty, eco-friendliness, and environmental awareness together in a unique way. With their marine life series, they have been dedicated to spreading the word about the protecting the world’s oceans (one of their core messages is to replace all single-use plastic bottles in the home setting with glass, which helps the planet and brings more artistic beauty into one’s life). And with the Van Gogh collection, their goal is to encourage art education, while also continuing to work towards protecting the environment. All of Gallery Drinkware’s glass items are decorated locally in California and Gallery Drinkware is a proud member of 1% for the Planet. With each bottle or drinkware item purchased, 3% of all sales goes to Gallery Drinkware’s respective artist’s chosen foundation—the Wyland Foundation, the Guy Harvey Oc ean Foundation, Waves for Water, and (for the upcoming Vincent Van Gogh line), the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

Gallery Drinkware owners, husband-and-wife team Kenny and Leah Laskan, are passionate about how special these new Van Gogh bottles and drinkware are going to be. When asked about why they chose Van Gogh as their newest artist, Kenny noted, “Allowing us to bring the art of Vincent Van Gogh, whose work is among the most prized art in the world, into people’s homes in both an affordable and usable way is a dream for us. His use of color, his lush brushstrokes, and his ability to bring the most simple elements of nature to life make his art perfect for our bottles and drinkware.” And why Kickstarter? “The ability to be able to reach large amounts of people in a short span of time is vital for a small business. With Kickstarter’s focus on art and design, we feel that it will be a tremendous opportunity for us.”

If funded, the bottles and drinkware are set to be released in September of 2017. Gallery Drinkware’s Kickstarter campaign has a 30-day window, starting on Wednesday, August 16that 10am Pacific Standard Time, and a goal of $20,000 (US) raised. Along with Kickstarter guidelines, if funds aren’t fully raised by September 14, 2017, all pledges are cancelled.
