Americans Are Leaving 9-5’s to Become Business Owners & Freelancers; New App Creates Platform For All.

Our days of working for Corporate America are slowly coming to an end. With 15.5 million U.S citizens being self-employed, and a projected 60 million people becoming independent workers by 2020, the market of self-employers, freelancers & creative entrepreneurs is booming. Indexed, a mobile app, provides a platform for freelancers, creatives, and talented individuals to market their services and for entrepreneurs and small business owners to hire quickly and efficiently.

“People who freelance contribute an estimated $715 billion in freelance earnings in our economy,” the Freelance Union reports states. “Earning extra money (but not financial necessity) and schedule flexibility are the top drivers of freelancing.” Built on the basis of connecting entrepreneurs, creatives, and freelancers, Indexed is the next face of the self-employed community.

This mobile directory connects individuals based on their profession while providing a manifesto to connect and find people with a specialized skillset. With 69% of creative freelancers in the US stating that technology has facilitated the process of finding work, Indexed acts as a digital portfolio or resume, and will provide opportunities for collaborations, networking and interactions as seen fit. This “digitized yellow pages” will help streamline the process of locating individuals of specific professions to achieve an end goal.

Initially released on May 10th, 2017, Indexed was met with great feedback from iOS users along with positive reviews. Indexed’s Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign launched on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 and will run until the 18th of October, with a goal of $20,000.
