Thank you for taking an interest in my new venture, Ice Gaming. Here’s a little bit about what gives me the drive to succeed and make this venture a success.
Last July, 2016, my partner went through a very traumatic experience. Sitting at home one Wednesday evening, thinking she had a bout of indegestion, we called 111 to get her checked out. Peace of mind we shall say. It turned out that night, that my fiancee was in the midst of a heart attack. They kept her in for a few nights to keep tabs on her. The Friday afternoon, things went from bad to worse. She suffered something called SCAD. Spontaneous coronary artery dissection.
This resulted in her being in a medically induced coma for 4 days, and spending the next couple of weeks in the hospital recovering. In total, she suffered 3 heart attacks, and resulted in her having 8 stents, helping to keep her arteries open.Although her body is still in the recovery stage, it became clear to me that life is very short, and that we have to grab these opportunities with both hands.
July 25th 2017, exactly a year on from the day that my partner walked out of the hospital, WE GOT MARRIED!!! It was a day that neither of thought would ever happen, which made it all the more special.
From a very young age, I have been, as with many people, into video games. Although playing them at home is fun, sometimes they are best played with friends. This is why I’m looking to open a brand new gaming centre in Northampton. I aim to provide gamers of various ages the opportunity to experience gaming of the highest level. Be it brand new VR, Ps4 and Xbox1, PC and LAN gaming all the way back to retro console, arcade and pinball machines.
The video game market is huge, currently worth over £5billion in the UK market alone, and producing worldwide figures that surpass the £100billion mark. People from all age groups play video games as a way of releasing themselves from the monotony of daily life, be it becoming a racing driver for an hour each day, a spy, or other wondrous things that they cannot do without the help of video interaction.
Some families don’t have the means to go out and buy their children’s things like xbox 1’s or PlayStation 4’s, so this would be a perfect opportunity to capture that market as well. Through paying per hour, pay weekly or monthly, this is a market that is growing every day. Big games, blockbuster titles are coming out all the time, ever increasing this market, and I think that with the help of my backers, and my friends, we can make this the perfect venue to showcase the newest talent in the world of E-sports, whilst giving people the chance to play their favourite games in a friendly environment surrounded by others who share their passion.
