The perfect evening in, brought to you by the Pirates of Penryn. Short of a proper pasty nothing will give you a better taste of Cornwall.

Set sail upon Cornish waters with this cracking new game. A light-hearted swagger through the piratical practice of flogging your rum. Trim your sails and run with the wind, but remember to time it right or the tide’ll run you aground. Oh, and beware them other scurvy crews trying to make a quick florin. Some of those scoundrels will attack and steal your treasures, or set the local sea monster Morgawr upon you for larks and profit.

And we ain’t just got a fantastically fun game for you neither shipmates. Hear tales of the crew on our very own Pirates of Penryn album “Wrap Me in the Skull & Bones”. Ten original songs to accompany the game available to download in December. Learn of Gurty’s murderous galley food, Bob’s sentimental mermaid philandering and the tragic revelation as to why Bogdan’s best friend is a shark. There’s a whole chest of other treasures too, from exclusive Kickstarter cards to illustrated adventures, engraved tankards and original artwork.

This brand new offering from SeaGriffin Games is ready to take to the high seas. Come join the crew, hoist the Kickstarter sails and stand at the prow as she crashes though the waves! Meet some of the 75+ unique pirates on facebook and twitter and follow the campaign on Kickstarter.

Designer/Illustrator duo Cait Russell and Matt Tweed will be posting regular updates and insights on the intensely fun and insanely creative process of making this game and pushing it off the plank into crowdfunding waters. Everything from square counting and deck balancing, to character design and the trials of filming cardboard special effects in Cornish gales – come be part of the crew, raise a tot of rum and help us complete this adventuresome voyage!

Pirates of Penryn will be charting a course to the world’s largest game fair ‘Spiel’ in Essen this October, bringing a touch of Cornwall to Germany, with the creators appearing in person on the Kickstarter stand on Friday. Come along and say Arrrr!
