Dallas, TX — 26 year old Brandon Warman spends his evenings creating digital models of real life places. It all started when Brandon posted a picture online of the 3D printed to scale model of downtown Dallas he created for fun. It soon turned from a fun 1-time project into a legitimate business once people began asking to purchase their own model.

Brandon received requests to build cities all around the US so he set up a survey to record votes and began building the highest voted cities. He’s completed 5 locations, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, the Texas State Capitol building, and Los Angeles. Chicago is next on the list along with other big cities like San Francisco, Boston, and Seattle.

Brandon launched a Kickstarter campaign this month to help fund the purchase of more 3D printers to meet the increasing production demand. The Kickstarter reached its goal in under 8 hours!

Each skyline is printed out of a bioplastic that is environmentally friendly and comes mounted on a hand-cut walnut wood base with the city name laser etched into the wood.

The skylines go for $65 if you want one delivered by Christmas, and $55 if you’re willing to wait until after Christmas. If you’re interested but don’t see your city available Brandon asks that you vote for your city on his website for 3D Printed Skylines.

Give back – Brandon has committed to give all profits from the Houston skyline to a hurricane relief fund of buyers’ choosing after the end of the Kickstarter campaign. There is a specific reward tier called “Houston Strong” that comes with a model replica of Houston with the words “Houston Strong” engraved on the wood base.
