Minimalist timepiece with only one hand that takes one year to complete an entire revolution is now on Kickstarter.
No one in the clock industry has yet created a yearly clock on which you can write. Two close friends from high school – David and Martin – have created the first annual motivational clock, uniquely designed to help you take action towards your dreams. The idea to build Motiano was born in January 2017 when the founders realized there is no elegant way to visualize their goals at home.
“Many people say that they want to spend more time with their families or achieve something great but instead they waste their time on the useless day to day activities. We focus only on what we must do today but forget where we want to be tomorrow.” – says Martin
Motiano has only one hand that takes an entire year to complete a single circle. The hand goes from the edge towards the centre. This is a unique designer solution that required to rethink the clock movement as well as the whole back part of the clock. This way, the hand creates more urgency as it approaches the goals that are expressed on the clock. The clock face is designed in a shiny minimalist style. There are 12 Months and 365 days pre-printed on the clock face. Orientation in the 365 dots is very easy because every 5th day is slightly highlighted.

The width and diameter of the minimalist clock is 45cm (17.7 inches) and 4mm (0.16 inches) respectively making it quite a large timepiece that can be hung in almost every apartment or office. It is produced in Europe and the first delivery will take place in March 2018. Motiano plans to raise $10 000 in the Kickstarter campaign to launch a worldwide delivery. Early backers can get their hands on Motiano for $129.
