Portland, OR — Defox is partnering with Crowd Supply to launch their new 3D Printed phone case for mobile photographers. The case is designed to be a less expensive alternative to buying a separate action camera. Three users were in mind while designing the case, action photographers, life hackers, and street photographers. The crowd funding campaign is setting out to allow user to pre-order cases to help finish development of the Periscope Case.
Everyone has an incredibly powerful camera in their pocket already, their smart phone. Periscope Case allows the casual photographer to utilize the hardware they already own to capture their adventures. There’s no need to spend money on an expensive action camera. The case is slim, fits in your pocket, and can be used as your everyday case when not in active use.
There is a storage slot for two small mirrors that can be snapped into position to change the angle of the camera 90 degrees. Connectors on the top and sides of the case are for strapping the phone to bikes, skateboards, RC cars, trees, lab equipment, machinery, your dog…, etc. No extra gear required. Just use what is around the house.
The case is locally designed and manufactured in Portland, Oregon. We will be using the latest in industrial 3D Printing technology. 3D Printing provides the flexibility to design a case specifically for individual phones. The new HP Jet Fusion 3D Printer will be used. Periscope Cases will be available for pre-order during the campaign.
