Bayreuth, Germany — We, Firesplash Entertainment, are a small indie game studio located in Bayreuth, Germany. Originating from ludum dare 41 game jam we started a game project combining farming simulation and shooter game together into one. We got lots of feedback and created a game concept for an actual game. Recently we started a Kickstarter campaign to fund our project. We are trying to raise 6800€ until June 12th to be able to efficiently create this awesome game.

Our introduction already tells the most important part: “Did you ever try to shoot a bullet into the ground and see what happens?

Probably it will grow a big beautiful tree of pistols or bullets or probably it will just be a bunch of wheat plants… Who knows? … We do.

Welcome to Corn Wars! You need to plant seeds and sell the fruit to be able to buy better seeds, weapons and pay your taxes.

Oh! Wait! Weapons? YES! They are… like… Uncommon tools for farming…?

The idea came up during Ludum Dare 41 Game-Jam and we had much positive criticism and lots of support during our live-coding-streams.

You will need to fulfill quests, earn money and collect achievements as well as defend your farm from diseases and enemies.”

We just started our Kickstarter campaign trying to raise 6800€ to fund the basic development cost for licenses, rewards and coworking space cost. We expect the planned development to cost about 10.000€ in total.

Game description: Basicly in our game you will play a farming simulation. You will plant seeds by shooting them on a moving target on your fields. Everything is down by using weapons. For example you need to water your fields – to achieve this you could call a bomber to drop a “waterbomb” on your field.

To have some kind of game progress we will add achievements and quests. Also we will create some kind of contest by adding different statistical leaderboards.

Furthermore there are optional plans of adding multiplayer features starting with a market place and going up to full MMO implementation depending on the success of our campaign and the customer voices of course.
