A micro dueling game that feels like it fell out of a fantasy world from game designer Eugene Fasano.

Seattle WA — May 16th 2018. Today Arcana Games launched Daggers, a new card game inspired by the tarot deck and fantasy tavern games.

Daggers takes on the popular format of the micro game; It is easy to learn and can be played in five to ten minutes. It only components are two slim identical decks of cards. Despite its simplicity, Daggers offers surprising depth through the interactions of its mechanics. It rewards players for thinking in clever ways, using the resources they have to trick or outmaneuver their opponents as they attempt to claim victory by amassing the most points.

The Arcana are special cards, remisicinet of the esoteric archetypes for which they are named. They provide unique strategic abilities that can, if used skillful ways, drastically alter the course of the game.

“If you’ve ever experienced the classic scene of the seedy fantasy tavern, be it in a movie, a book, or perhaps a role-playing game, then you know it is not complete without a few shady characters gambling in the greasy lantern light. The game they are playing is Daggers.” Daggers creator, Eugene Fasano.

Daggers is a 2 player game for ages 13 and older. It takes approximately 5-10 minutes to play with next to no set up time. It includes 42 cards, split into two decks with different backs, four references cards, and two rules cards. The game is packaged in a tuck box. It is available on Kickstarter for $10 or $20 with Kickstarter exclusive card backs. For information you can visit the Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com
