It is hard to know where to start with these press dockets. I mean the game, or in this case its Kickstarter, is what we are here to advertise, but everyone also wants to know about the person, or people behind that adventure. That is what it is really about though right? We don’t skip to the end of a book or watch the last five minutes of the movie. We want to know about the hero, who they are, what they do, and why they do it.
G.H.O.S.T. is an isometric RPG shooter, with inspiration from the Mass Effect and Star Ocean series, where the hero of this sci fi fantasy universe, is you. The game allows you to pick who you are, male or female, skin color, height and weight, and then throws you into the action to determine, and maybe even show you a little more, about who you are. As you progress through the game your kindness to other people, loyalty to your missions and contracts, and morality in tough situations, or lack of these, will show you where your values lie. In addition to that, this game puts you in tough decisions, decisions that plague our world today, in the past, and far into the future.
Yeah this game has a few different endings, not many, but everyone’s journey is unique. I would seriously challenge anyone to play the game through the exact same way twice, or even watch the same stream of the game twice. It is not impossible, but each NPC responds to your character in different ways, nearly every mission offers you a choice, and some difficult ones as well. Sometimes you have to chose one mission over another, and dying doesn’t lead to a respawn, but either a different way to tackle the mission, or complete failure. This game isn’t about the end, but instead about the Hero’s Journey, your journey.
In addition to this amazing and unique single player experience, we also have co op so you can play your story with your friends, arena combat for massive multiplayer battles, and even reworked maps for a variety of co op and verses missions, deathmatches, and more multiplayer modes. We also have story modes for those that don’t game, but still love a story where your choices can change the galaxy. Lastly we will have large tournaments with an entry fee where all of the proceeds go to a predetermined charity that you will help us chose.
My name is Joshua. I have loved games since I was at least 4, maybe younger, and have done my best to impose that same love on my children. I mean I want them to love games, not…. I love my children more than my games I promise. We love soccer and my oldest and youngest play well, but my middle child was born with a heart defect and can’t play. In fact my goal is to get this game funded before her final surgery so it is one less thing to worry about. There are many ways each of us can travel on our own path, and while she can not play any physical sports, she is excited to join the Super League, a youth eSports league, after she has recovered from surgery. It is my goal to get this project going, and hopefully make enough money off of it to spend more time with my family. Again I love my family more than my games. This is my Journey, what will yours be?
