Heroes of Tenefyr is a cooperative deck-building game for 1-4 players, with push your luck elements. Take on the role of one of the heroes and defend the village of Tenefyr from an oncoming evil threat. You only have a few days to prepare, so head into the dungeons and grab as much loot as you can.

Combat uses a push your luck mechanic: you can keep discarding your hand to draw a new hand, but when you run out of cards in your deck, you become exhausted and unable to help your fellow heroes in battle. To get all your discarded cards back, you’ll have to go back to the village and rest as a group, but resting takes precious time.

To defeat an enemy, players take turns playing their cards until their combined power is enough to beat the monster. The defeated enemy card is then rotated 180 degrees and turns into loot for the player who dealt the final blow. Clear out entire dungeons for more rewards and work together to become the real Heroes of Tenefyr.

Whenever you don’t defeat a monster, you get kicked out of the dungeon, and the timer moves ahead two steps instead on one, giving you less time to prepare for the final boss fight. You need to be as efficient as possible and consider your options well if you want to stand a chance in defending Tenefyr from the uncoming evil.

With 4 different heroes, 4 powerful bosses and 44 unique enemies, the variety is almost endless. Due to the random set-up, each time you play will be a different experience.

Heroes of Tenefyr, published by Broken Mill and designed by Pepijn van Loon is live on Kickstarter right now for only $19.
