Okay so 5 months ago I took my senior rescue dog Patches to the vet where they found a mass in his mouth and several teeth that need to be removed. The teeth are infected and rotten. When I adopted him I was unaware of these issues, but I quickly found out. I gave him dental chews, water stuff, and had his teeth brushed. Hoping that they would not get worse but they have and they need to come out. If they do not come out he could get a worse life threatening infection. I can send a picture of his mass and his teeth if you want to see them. And I can send clearer photos of his paperwork as well if the need be.
I’ve had this gofundme campaign up since his first initial vet visit. But he had to lose some weight before the vet would do surgery. So, it’s been 5 months that we’ve been trying to raise funds because now he’s lost weight and needs his surgery NOW. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow (April 11, 2019). Through gofundme and PayPal we were able to raise $600! BUT his pre-op was $191 so he only has $409 and his estimate is $496. So we need to raise that difference.
His teeth extractions aren’t on his estimate because the vet does not know what they are going to cost yet because they can’t tell how many need to come out. But I know it is going to be around $150+ from what his original estimate says. The vet says that one is inaccurate though but I figure it is a good place to start.
I’m a full-time college student whos been looking for a job for months and I just don’t have this much money with all my other bills I have to pay. Every $1 helps so much and it’s all extremely appreciated. Patches means the world to me as he was my first rescue dog.
