Recently a gofundme was started by a 22 year college student, named Dominique, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana looking to continue her next year in college. Each year she was given enough financial aid, but was given less this last Spring semester despite earning straight A’s and B’s. Dominique is a dedicated young individual, who is looking to progress in her career.

She’s trying to raise at least $1,000 to get back into school. Her family has had it pretty hard and she aspires to be an example for her siblings through hard work and dedication. She’s hoping that her achievements will help her family and set the bar high for near future generations. She is grateful for what she has achieved and grateful for those who continue to pray and support her.

Dominique is hoping that soon she will be blessed enough to get back in school, especially since she’s in her third year. She recently was honored for her academic achievement at Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College.

There she is hoping to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Merchandising and Textiles. When asked what she planned to do with her degree she stated,”I want to create my own Event Business in the Fashion Industry. I have found my inspiration of creating art in the presentation of Designer’s fashion shows.

I hope that I can make a statement with each fashion show I coordinate, to show the individuality, diversity, duality, that we represent in this country. Not only do I want to be a representation of art, I want to embrace of all unique cultures.” All though Dominique does not have much, her ambitions our strong. With the right guidance, education, and influences she will be on the right path to be successful and an asset to her community.
