In his one parking stall CNC machine shop, Grant is making CNC machined brass and aluminum press fit magnets.

Grant is currently raising funds with about two and a half weeks to go to bring his CNC machined magnets to the masses. From the space in his family garage he has his Tormach 15L Slant Pro CNC lathe machining the C360 brass and 6061-T6 aluminum alloy rod stock into a satin finished magnet. The design features a 5.7 lb pulling force magnet able to hold 25 sheets of paper to a refrigerator door. A groove offset from the center provides a mounting point for keys, pictures, and ornaments able to hold a half pound load. You can check out his project here

Grant has been running CNC machines since graduating high school in 2012. Since then he’s made numerous gadgets ranging from automated microscopes to biomedical devices. This is his 5th Kickstarter project.
