So my son was given an opportunity for a trip to Washington DC to get to explore our capital through his school and the Smithsonian.
He is in the 7th grade, works hard, and gets great grades. This is a one time trip and he will get to explore many of the famous memorials and he will even get to see the White House and be able to stand right where MLK stood and did his famous speech ‘ I have a dream!’.
He will get to go for a five day tour of the capital as well as get credits for high school for history. He has been excited about this trip since it was mentioned at his school because it was one of his destinations he has wanted to visit.
Now here is the hard part it has a steep price tag. Our family is not well off so we will need a little help.
To go on this great 5 day trip he has to come up with 2500 in total. Because of tuition we are able to shave off about 500 from the price tag but now we need to figure out the other 2000.
