BatchQ is a community oriented software platform for businesses to help organize and orchestrate the entry of customers into establishments by a mobile ticketing system. This will be valuable by:

Controlling the flow of people in order to to maintain safe distances
Reducing or eliminating the amount of time close contact resulting by standing in a line.
Keeping Essential item stock availability information available to the community
The funds will be used to create a business entity and facilitate the building of the application and maintain up to 3 months of hosting for the backers of this project. Customer support will be provided for the duration of the promised kick starter reward period during business hours. The target for this release is 7/15/2020. There will be options to continue support at a locked in rate determined by the backer level.

WHY

COVID-19 is a issue that looks to being here to stay for the foreseeable future and the infrastructure to support this health anomaly isn’t there yet. By shuttering up our doors and reducing the cash flow of businesses, economic issues are going to keep propagating and cause bigger and bigger money problems in the economy and our personal lives. As the money reserves start to dry up employers are going to start having to minimizing their workforce and that freed up workforce will likely be in a pinch since all companies are in the same situation. There will be less work needed done. As there is less money in the economy this cycle continues.

Every business will to be affected by this, but smaller ones are going to be affected more severely due to limited cash flow and the way this pandemic will affect our daily lives.

One way to mediate this though is to try to minimize our close contact exposure to other people and maintain our current standard of living in smarter ways. To our best knowledge now reducing the chance of respiratory droplets to enter our lungs reduces the change of acquiring the virus, so this means limiting our space between one another.

During this time everyone is going to have to make some sacrifices in order to minimize their risk of exposure as well as still trying to keep our own livelihood intact. One way we can help each other is to keep our normal habits but be more intelligent about it. This means we need to keep spending money on the things we want, but try to do more at once and think ahead to batch our needs and reduce the frequency we once used to. At the same times companies also need to facilitate better ways to keep crowds lower to keep their employees utilized and cash flow while providing a safe environment for employees.

I’m proposing the building of a suite of apps for managing and release a ticket scheduling and scanning system to help organize and orchestrate the entry of customers into establishments in order to help control the flow of people to limit the amount of close proximity exposure between each other. Having a unified system for users to quickly search a community during times of need becomes an invaluable tool. www.kickstarter.com

HOW

To limit the time needed to develop the app a limited set of features will be developed so that they can be released quickly. There will be two types of users, just “User” and “Companies”. A company will be able to batch the entry of users to keep a more predictable flow of people in the store and limit the chance that two people have to be too close together. The platform will be built around the concept of entry events. An entry event is a scheduled time range in which a limited number of people will be able to enter a store, as dictated by the company profile.

A company will be provided with:

An administration website for configuring enter events and hours by address.
Automated event creation based on the profile of the address.
A mobile app for the purpose of scanning tickets and invoking the lottery.
Users will be provided with:

A phone app to search for companies by category with available event dates.
Ability to make appointments for entry event.
A way to enter a lottery system for a wildcard entry
App reminders about upcoming appointments
