Our organization just started and we are in need to fund our project for 2020. We are planning our food distribution in Orlando, FL. We know that that are many organizations, but we serve a part of our community that has been coming for food with us for a long time. We used to serve them through a local church, but the program was closed and we saw the need to start fresh, with a new name and attitude.
Our program is based on the premises that everyone should be eating a meal that give them sustenance to have a nice day at school or work. Many people think that there should be no hunger in America in 2020! Unfortunately, this is not the case, and even more so now with the pandemic our country is facing for the past few months.
When we decided to start our organization, we were counting on helping those that we already knew were in need, but we have seen the numbers grow and the need to rise to new levels. Even we the many food banks and churches, delivering food to those in need, our organization feel that we need to do something too.
Orlando is a city that has many attractions and it brings people from all over the world, but some of the people living here are suffering because companies have closed and work is no longer viable to some.
There are so many unemployed people around us today that we must work together and do something about it. That’s our goal in serving food to the community, so show them a side of our citizens that say We Care!
