Hello, my name is Manuel, i’m a 19 years old from Venezuela, that traveled to Colombia with my family (my mom and my little sister) in order to pursue a better life, and until the COVID-19 outbreak in the world. Unlike some people that go out of their country to try and get the easy life, we worked hard every day in order to get the life we wanted.
But now, the world is in a bad place, and people here in Latin America is in a worse place, due to the political and economic conditions.
My mom and myself we’re fired from our job because not even companies can get money, We’re trying to pay the rent of our house, but the owner doesn’t want to wait, and is threatening to evict us, even though we’re paying what little money we get, Services don’t want to wait, and jobs are scares.
We don’t want to ask for money, we don’t need a lot of it, my mom doesn’t know i’m doing this fund, because she isn’t the one to ask for money, she as well as me, likes to work her own money, and even while crying because of debts that in a normal situation we could pay.
The money isn’t meant for getting an easy life, nor do we want to, we need it just to get out of the debts, so we can focus all of our effort and money in food and my sister studies.
Getting the goal that I set, would make us very relieved, and of course, thankful, thankful for all the people that helped us, like we’ve always been.
I’m not going to tell excuses, I worked hard, my mom also did, but everyone is in a hard spot, and even now we haven’t stopped working to defeat problems, but at this time, everything is falling apart.
