The Adventurer’s Collection Tabletop Soundtrack is a collection of original music and www.tabletopmusic.com is a website from which to stream it. The website aims to make bringing background music into tabletop RPG sessions as easy as possible with a simple and intuitive user interface and playlist system so you don’t have to worry about spending ages looking for the right track, finding looping tracks or songs getting repetitive.
As for the collection itself, on release, it aims to be 50 tracks. However, pending stretch goals hit and number of tracks requested through the “Request a Track” backer tier, it could be over 100. Every track is completely original and composed by myself (Alec Shea) the creator of the collection.
There are currently 4 free tracks available. 2 released on launch, then one at 50% funded and one at 75%. All of which are available for download on the website (www.tabletopmusic.com).
The first is Wander Into Wilderness, a track about exploring a mysterious and magical forest. Its wistful, yet relaxing and peaceful tone aims to bring a mystic aura and captivating sound to your adventure! The track was created in collaboration with Vincent Baker from Vindicated Entertainment for his tabletop RPG – Otherworlds.
The second is Temple of Fragmented Dreams, this track is about an abandoned and mysterious temple that holds great power and valuable treasures. It’s reputation of wonder is preceded only by its reputation for traps and danger!
The third is Sword of Hearts, a track about the battles that reveal the truth in ones heart. Only by fighting with ones true colours on your sleeve can you truly be called a warrior.
The fourth is Dawn of a Tranquil Sun, his track is about the wonders of exploring the wilderness. It’s beauty and wonder are only limited by how much of it you choose to explore.
On launch, an 11 minute teaser of various tracks was released and on day 4 of the campaign, 5 new teasers were released via a Kickstarter update. These included

5. Temple of the Challenmarr

Finally, the project boasts a number of stretch goals including Custom Playlists – The ability to create and save playlists by selecting and ordering any of the tracks available to best suite your adventure, Sound Effects Overlay – The option to play sound effects and soundscapes over the top of the music tracks, to add even more immersion, and both Horror and Sci-fi expansions which will offer a large selection of additional tracks tailored to each setting respectively.
