What makes The Adventurer’s RPG Tiles so special?

The story here started when I first realized that there were wonderful terrain tiles utilized by various board games of old but also of very much the new. So it left me somewhat bewildered, why don’t other tabletop gamers such as those of D&D and the like enjoy the same quality, the same adventurous features?

There’s a lot of great 3d terrain stuff coming out every year but what about the more affordable… more manageable 2d terrain? It’s cheaper and very easy to blend in with other terrain.

As a result, I created The Adventurer’s RPG Tiles. Terrain that allows for more features for DMs and adventurers to explore. If there is treasure in an area or a sword, then let’s see it! These visuals no doubt, help with the immersive nature of the whole role playing experience, but also can bring forth a whole other level of engagement from the players.

Plus, things can be changed so quickly with 2D terrain via tile/token stacking. The flat surface allows for this aspect to be easy and very effective. Instead of laying out a cluster of plastic and dealing with the hassle of putting it together (not to mention transporting the thing to your friend’s house), how about laying out a few tiles and either stacking them or separating them in case your heroes are on different floor levels.

I knew this project wouldn’t be huge, but big enough. Therefore, I had to get help. Two other artists and I have been involved in the creation of what is now over 25 of these attractive modular pieces.

It took a good year but now I couldn’t be any prouder of what we’ve created!

In short, this is how these terrain tiles differ from most you will see on the market:
1. Odd organic shapes, not just square/rectangle tiles.
2. Stackable visual features.
3. An adventure side with extra visuals for players to search and explore, such as bones, bottles, footprints, etc. Stuff you may only really see on board games nowadays though not necessarily taken advantage of. BUT, if you don’t want that extra imagery, there is a plain side as well that just features the main landscaping and one inch by one inch grid.
4. They will be punch-outs, hence easy mobility and resell-ability.
5. No puzzle locking, therefore easy to integrate with other 2D tiles and 3D terrain.
6. As another part to the adventure aspect: potential secret passageways. Potential as that is of course up to the DM, but the artwork will be there hinting at other openings. IF on the tile, they will appear on both sides but more prominently on the Adventure side.
7. Countless mix and match combinations with just this single set!
8. Dry erase marker friendly.
9. Eco-friendly! All contents are biodegradable.
