Philadelphia, PA – November 23, 2016 Aegir Vessels, a line of unbreakable drinkware designed for craft beer, is launching today on Kickstarter. The line consists of six individual vessels which are specially crafted to bring out the aroma and flavor of different styles of craft beer. Being unbreakable, they are the perfect addition to tailgates, backyard barbeques, pool side parties and other outdoor activities.
Aegir Vessels are crafted from an unbreakable food safe co-polymer known as PETG that is crystal clear, BPA free, and (most convenient of all) dishwasher safe. The line includes vessels for IPAs, Weizens, Ciders, Pilsners, Stouts, and specialty brews. They are created by combining injection molding with blow molding in a three step process. This process gives the vessels a thick and stable base, a rounded lip, and deeply undercut walls all in a single beer-specific molded piece.
As the project leader, Sean Leonard cites a personal love of craft beer as the fuel for this passion project. “Understanding the complexities of craft beer is essential to the creation of Aegir Vessels. We believe you shouldn’t have to compromise those complexities when you drink outdoors. With Aegir Vessels you no longer have to worry about broken glass – meaning you get the best drinking experience without the risk.”
Including Sean, Aegir Vessels are the result of a combined effort of a five person team with over 60 years’ experience in product design and development, branding and marketing. Using their combined expertise, the Aegir team plans to deliver the best product, for the best price, in a timely fashion.
The campaign has a multi-tiered backers program that features a variety of rewards for those supporting the campaign. The funding goal for the project is $100,000 which will be used to pay for the special tooling process. Product is expected to be in the hands of backers by Mid-Summer 2017.
