A crowdfunding campaign launched by movie producer and actor Alexander Cooper to make a film inspired by oldtime strongman Eugen Sandow, promises contributors rewards such as a ‘Limited Edition Movie Poster’, ‘Sandow Statue replica movie prop’ and ‘Ubermensch’ where for each contribution of $100000 Alexander will give up a year of his life to put his talents where the contributor sees fit. Cooper, who is 34 and lives in Pimlico, London, the district where the real Sandow once lived said “Sandow is a passionate tale of struggle in the face of adversity, and of one man’s desires and dreams. Sandow is a fascinating and untold story, a story of a cultural icon who everyone wanted a piece of. This is an important film which needs backers to bring it to the screen.”
“$150000 is a very small budget for such an epic movie,” Cooper told us. “In fact, it’s less than a lot of bankers’ bonuses in the city”
Cooper has been overwhelmed with positive feedback and people excited about the film. Wrestling star Kurt Angle recently tweeted about it that it was time to get on board one of the best sports movies of all time. So what are you waiting for?
