Society is crumbling. You and a group of friends have decided to make your way to a home on the outskirts of town. You haven’t adjusted completely to this new reality, but you know you won’t get a chance to unless you learn to Survive.

Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies… monsters are chasing you. What do you do? Build barricades, run, gather ammo, craft survival items, hide, fight? Survive the Night is a Supernatural RPG board game that is both tense and fun at the same time.

With new concepts that set the game apart, you’ll get lost in the story and caught up in the chaos. Timed phases, multiple boards, and opportunities for unique gameplay strategy add to well structured game mechanics. This 1-6 player board game mixes elements of Combat, Crafting, Story, Player Choice, and Strategy with every playthrough.

With a total of over 1,150 square inches of game board surface, the setting can change drastically and depends upon player choices both in where you choose to make your stand and in what layout you set your defenses.

Real Time Prep Phase: Each game includes a digital timer to help determine the monster’s arrival to your team’s defenses. Each Player takes turns simultaneously but if you don’t work together as a group resources will be wasted, and defenses will be disorganized. This phase can easily be the most stressful as the monsters are arriving regardless of your team’s efficiency.

The clock is always ticking in the prep phase.

Player Choice: Each playthrough includes story cards with multiple options that affect the story as it unfolds as well as the gameplay experience. Some will require everyone’s consent, others will be decided by a few, regardless it creates a story each player can take part in as the game unfolds. Solo and cooperative experiences are both included.

Different Locations: Based on the team’s decision you can make your stand in the forest, at the Chapel, or at the the two story home, all within the game itself. Depending on what is coming you may change your plan up until the monsters arrive. Different layouts, allow for unique strategy and tactics… or just more room to run if that is your plan.

If you get cornered upstairs you could always jump out the window, just remember the damage you’ll take once you hit the ground.

Resource Gathering: Searching Item Cards in the game provides resources and Weapons. Wood, Metal, Fabric, and Medicine, each one is used to craft and prepare for the forthcoming attack. You can horde the best items for yourself, or pool them in the group stash for everyone to share.

Some High-End Weapons require finding two tiles to piece them together. It may take more parts, but piecing together that Rifle is well worth it if you can coordinate with your team to find the needed tiles. So quick searching and decision making are a must when gathering item cards.

Crafting: Any Item Cards can be used to craft Barricades, Ammo, a Fireplace, or Bandages. The only difference is in how many cards are required for each.

Barricades: 2 Item Cards
Ammo: 1 Item Card per token
Fireplace: 3 Item Cards
Bandages: 4 Item Cards

This crafting framework ensures balancing, strategy, and teamwork must be used for a successful game to take place. As well as reduces the complexity of the cards keeping the focus on the fun and not counting different resource types.

This is a game that you’re sure to get caught up in. Challenge yourself to see if you can Survive the Night.
