All in one Desk and Dock, greatly reducing desk clutter. DeskDock has recently launched a Kickstarter. Created by a college student in Atlanta, Georgia, DeskDock has the potential to revolutionize the home desk.
The DeskDock takes a typical laptop dock and integrates in into a full size desk. In doing this, it greatly reduces the number of visible cables on and around the desk, while clearing up space on the desk’s surface. The DeskDock works with any computer that can charge and transfer data through a single USB-C cable. Through this single cable, the DeskDock can support an external display through HDMI, add Ethernet to your computer, play music through a GraceDigital amplifier connected to a full sounding speaker array. Further, the desk has an integrated wireless charger and USB expansion. More specifically, there are 3 data transfer USB A ports and 2 power only USB A ports. On top of that, there is a SD card reader, allowing for even more data transfer options. There are also 2 full sized outlets that are perfect for an external display.
What’s inside the DeskDock?
2 HiVi B4N 4″ Drivers
2 HiVi TN25 Fabric Dome Tweeters
1 TangBand W5-1138SMF 5.25″ Subwoofer
1 GraceDigital Wireless Stereo Amp
2 3-way Crossovers
1 10-watt Anker Wireless Charger (7.5 watt for iPhones)
5 USB-A ports (2 are power only)
1 SD Card Reader
2 Full Sized Outlets
1 HDMI Cable
1 Ethernet Cable
Plans For DeskDock: Once the project has been fully funded, we would like to expand the customization options for the DeskDock, as everyone has different rooms with different needs. These customization would include different colors, positioning of several components (ports, wireless charger, amp), different speaker configurations, and different desk dimensions all together. I would also like to provide adjustable legs or partner with an existing company to provide customers with motorized legs at a discounted price when bundled with the DeskDock.
