Don’t Bump the Table was created by Kip Atkinson who has a background in 3D modeling and gaming. He has found a lot of the same principals for video games applies to creating fun and addictive table top games. With the help of Bowen Gines a small business entrepreneur and marketing wiz they set out to make a fun mishap in to an the next big game!
The games has its roots based on statutes made by Kip’s mother in law for trophies that she found where really fun to stack and make amazing designs. Taking the original idea and designing animals that had multiple interaction points to hep them stack extra tall or wide. Stacking was fun but something was missing, until Kip’s wife Jessica said “well it needs to be a game” and the light bulb went off, the game designing began after many different iterations build up play-test redesign and play-test again, rinse and repeat… the game is finally ready! Kip and Bowen now had to find a name and though there where many to choose from none of them felt just right or where already in use, until Bowen called Kip up late one night and said I got it… what the flu?… No the name, it is the thing we say most often when playing the game… Don’t Bump the Table!
With that settled and the characters designed and the game mechanics worked out they have one more big hurtle.
