It sometimes takes a tragedy to turn something into a positive. And after being fired and discriminated against from her female pharmaceutical manager because she chose to have children and pump while away from her kids, Joezette Hite, knew there had to be another door that would open – even if it meant she would have to create it.

Needless to say the wheels began to turn after I was let go and I wanted to create something that would be beneficial to women, and to everyone, especially moms. I knew I enjoyed getting pampered, and always loved pedicures during each of my pregnancies, but I would always end up with a headache after leaving the nail salon. I began to research the chemicals that were used in many of these spas and discovered they were hazardous to one’s health, and could have an effect on fertility and had been linked to causing birth defects, and also could be the reason why I was experiencing headaches. This is when I really put my pen to paper and began to research how I was going to create a different concept in the nail spa industry. Crave provides quality products at affordable pricing, so no one should have to jeopardize their health to enjoy some pampering and polishing! Crave is a walk-in/walk-out nail spa that has received many accolades including “Best of” awards, write-ups in national publications, featured on local news stations, and most recently CNN Latino. At Crave the chairs used during our mani’s and pedi’s are cozy enough for everyone to relax in, and for those moms bringing in a little one or even nursing they are big enough for them too! Now with three little ones in tow, I am proud to say Crave has become a success and on it’s fourth year – and it is true, a mom can have it all!
