Stuck and unable to pay tuition fees, International students have turned to Gofundme campaigns.
Millions of international students are facing the dire situation of being stuck in another country without the chance of going because of travel restrictions. Some have lost family members, others have completely lost their sources of income and some have all together got the chance of losing their eligibility to be legal students.
Universities are still expecting payment of tuition fees, and often harass their students to make payment, in spite of the current situation, further more, international students are mostly ineligible for Cares act packages and financial aid, and even if they get scholarships, these amounts are unable to cover the ever increasing tuition bills of some the universities in the country.
many have set up their gofundme campaigns and often find themselves overlooked but the keep pushing out posts on social media platforms, hoping that just one person, may see their campaign and help them survive through these unprecedented times, that they and their families are facing.
One such student is Iman, an international student, who is hard working, has been unable to go home and with having no family in the us is forced to stay on campus, where the bills never end, depending on food donations but needing to be registered for classes to avoid being homeless in a foreign country as her university, will not allow students to stay if their not paid up, she has been forced to create a gofundme campaign. She is appealing to the good people of America, to help her and other international students like her, who have set up gofundme campaigns, to help them sustain their dream of completing education as well as keep them from being homeless, by supporting their campaigns.
