I am a B.Tech Biotechnology graduate from SASTRA University, India. I am planning to pursue my masters in Immunotherapeutics at Trinity College Dublin. I cannot support my family without a good enough job, and in this field of study the kind of job that I require is only available to me after I complete my masters.
I lost my Father due to a cardiac arrest when I was in 11th grade. My Father never discussed about his business at home, therefore none of us were aware of the financial situation we were in. Only after his demise, we realized that my Father had faced huge losses in his business, and we were left with only meager savings. We had to build our life again from scratch. My Mother tried to work, but the fact that she has not completed her college degree made it hard for her to secure a job. She already has a lot of health complications and the stress started taking a toll on her.
With my Mother being a homemaker, it will be hard for her to bear the expenses of my higher studies along with my brother’s school fees.
We have tried asking for a loan with both private banks and nationalized banks but we were unable to get a loan as we have neither sufficient monthly earnings nor collateral. We have tried all possible avenues and failed, therefore I would be grateful if I could get help on this platform. If given the funding, I hope to go for my masters, work and settle in Dublin so that I will be in a position to financially support my family and help my brother with his studies so that hopefully he does not have to face the same situation as me.
