A game full of action
Elemental is thrilling First-Person video game crammed with action and gripping puzzle-solving elements presented through breathtaking graphics.
Windows/Mac/Linux + Oculus Rift Support
Elemental focuses on melee based combat with an upgradable samurai sword as the main weapon and impact grenades as the main ranged weapon. The player can slow down time whenever needed, making it possible to dodge enemy attacks, or to simply make an event feel like an action movie scene.
Many movement mechanics are given to the player to further the adrenaline rush, such as the crouch-slide, the prone-dive, and the wall-jump. Slight additions have been made for smoother gameplay, such as when the player collides with an object, they are slightly rotated to the favoring side in order to avoid getting stuck on objects.
The player’s main melee weapon is the samurai sword, which starts out as an average sword, but eventually gets upgraded to harness the power of the elements. Throughout the campaign the player’s sword may acquire the power to defeat water, fire, earth, and air enemies.
The player’s main range weapon is the impact grenade. The impact grenades have a trail effect for easy tracking and aiming. The grenades also acquire the power to defeat water, fire, earth, and air enemies.
There are four different enemy types that encompass each element. Each enemy type has their own appearance, power, and weakness. These include Aquatic Influx, Molten Magma, Hardened Solder, and Wafting Gale.
In Elemental, the player takes on the role of the bio-medical engineer Jonathan Dover, whose life is taken for a drastic turn when his laboratory’s main experiment releases a bio-engineered toxin. This toxin causes complete alterations in whoever it contacts. The main alteration is turning its target fully into one of the four elements, and others include losing all previous memory, along with turning its target extremely hostile.
As the toxin is released into the air, Jonathan remarkably uses his collected gas mask before he can be affected by the toxin, but suffers the sight of seeing his colleagues mutated before his eyes. As the other engineers turn into these Elemental mutants, Jonathan quickly thinks to arm himself.
Jonathan is known to be a historic memorabilia collector, especially of the samurai age, so he grabs his samurai suit and sword from his office and prepares to fight. At this point, a mysterious voice from the laboratory’s speakers begins to instruct Jonathan, starting the most important chapter in Jonathan Dover’s life.
