With current rainwear for cyclists there’s always a ‘but’ attached – it looks good but it’s only a jacket, it keeps you dry but makes you sweat, it’s cheap but looks awful. And so on……. With the OneSuitWonder range of cycling rainwear there are no more BUTS! www.flickr.com

Living in Amsterdam means that we ride our bikes everywhere; rain, hail or shine!! We wanted to be dry and stylish when cycling in the rain and have discovered that lots of other cyclists want that too.

The OneSuitWonder is an alternative form of rainwear that is made from high quality material yet available at an affordable price; fully protects you while cycling; comes in a range of colours and sizes; and looks and feels good.

From the very beginning it was clear to us that we wanted to produce our rainwear in a socially responsible and ethical way.

This means we want to:

– work with companies who treat their workers well,
– have a personal relationship and work collaboratively with our small business partners,
– where possible provide employment opportunities for disempowered groups, and
– keep production as local as possible.

Now we’re ready to go into production in partnership with a sewing school for young women in western Ghana and a family-run business in Poland.

Western Girls Training Centre – Ghana
The Western Girls’ Training Centre (WGTC) was established to empower young women aged between 14 and 18 years by giving them education and training in manufacturing textiles, sewing work clothing and batik making.
Our partnership will provide the WGTC with contracted work, and enable the young women to learn new sewing skills, follow processes for production, develop business skills and to train and mentor other students. www.helpghanagirls.com

Pre-order customer pleased with her OneSuitWonder

“I can’t stop raving about my One Suit Wonder! The last week’s weather has been especially wet and stormy, but I haven’t felt bothered by it at all – suit on and off I go!
It’s so light & comfortable, I get everywhere dry as a bone and because it’s breathable my clothes stay dry on the inside, unlike my old rain jacket and pants.
Also I love that it’s unique, I got to choose the colours, so no-one has the same suit as me! I really couldn’t be without it anymore!”

Help us to get started! Support our Kickstarter campaign so we can give the young women at the WGTC a chance to be self supporting, and commuter cyclists the opportunity to stay completely dry and look stylish.
