Imagine going about your day when it starts to get windy and your hair keeps hitting your face. You want to use a bobby pins to keep your hair in place, but you didn’t have anywhere to put them, you lost them, or you don’t want to them to clutter your bag (or pockets if you have them). A product designer in the High Desert of California designed the Bobi Necklace to solve that problem! The Bobi Necklace is a minimalist necklace that can store up to five two-inch bobby pins! You can find the necklace on Kickstarter.
The necklace was inspired by Maria Shireen’s hairband bracelet and the idea began on paper, where a physical protype was made also using paper. Three iterations of the Bobi Necklace were made through a manufacturer until the final design came into fruition and finally the Bobi Necklace was made.
The Bobi Necklace very simple to use, just put in the bobby pins and when you want to use them, push them up from the opening on the bottom, and pinch them out. That’s it! With a minimalist design, the Bobi Necklace goes with any outfit and additionally, the Bobi Necklace comes in four colors (rose gold, gold, silver, and black) and one size (32 inches, with plans for a 20 inch in the future). The necklace is made of 100% stainless steel, so you don’t have to worry about it rusting or getting tarnished.
The Kickstarter campaigned has raised over 80% and just needs a few more backers until it is completely funded. The funds will be used to create a full run of Bobi necklaces, packaging, and for a website where you can pick up the Bobi Necklace and any other future products. So say goodbye to stray bobby pins and check out the Bobi Necklace.
