Tombed is a dungeon crawler-like game where one player plays as a Pharaoh trying to defend his Pyramid while the other players plays as a Explorers who try to enter into the pyramid in order to gain fame, gold and to fulfill a contract.
The uniqueness of Tombed is that the board is not fixed: the Pharaoh builds it, room by room, using a very simple rules, so each game will be different from the others. He also has traps, curse cards and creatures that can be used to stop and to kill the explorers. Also, each time one of the explorers or companions is wounded, the Pharaoh gains blood points, that can be used to summon himself… and win the game.
Also, the Pharaoh player has 4 different Pharaohs to choose, each of them with different capabilities, powers and special abilities.
The explorers also can choose equipment, spells and companions in order to fulfill their contract and fight against anything that the Pharaoh chooses to put in his Pyramid. But the explorers don’t know anything about the Pharaoh’s plans…
During the game, the explorers will try to find treasures while the Pharaoh will activate traps, use cards and summon creatures… anything to stop the explorers.
