Hello, readers. My name is Robyn. I am a trans man who is asking for your support, if you are able to provide any.
I am trying to raise money for my upcoming surgery so that I may be able to get it. I have some savings built up, but really need some help with this one. Even if you can only donate a dollar or two, it will really help in the long run. If you can’t donate, I would love for you to comment on the post to share your support, or share the link if you can. This money will go directly to my surgery fund so that I can travel to and from the surgeon and afford a hotel for a few nights while I am there.
The surgery is not covered by my insurance and (as per the quote the surgeon gave me) will cost ten thousand dollars including travel.
Getting this surgery will mean I do not have to compress my chest anymore, which long term can hurt my ribs and puncture my lungs. Getting this surgery will also lessen my anxiety and my dysphoria, both diagnosed according to the DSM-V.
I do not have much support around me, but I have some.
My goal in life is to become an art teacher for middle and high schoolers so that I can empower them. I want to show them that their lives are so important and that there are adults who believe in them, even when they feel there are not.
This is just a small step in becoming who I am meant to be, and any help you can provide is much appreciated.
