Ocht’s unique folding system enables the classic handbag to be transformed into a cross-body sling, tote bag, or shoulder bag with customizable carriage capacity. The bag’s transformable feature removes the frustration of having to switch between different bags for different needs and occasions, and reduces unnecessary clutter at home. The bag utilizes a changeable strap system that is easy to secure, and is designed to be comfortable for every user. The easy-access zips and magnetic folds not only allow the bag to be expandable and retractable, but make storage space economical as well.
Survey was conduction among 50 industrious women. Up to 90% responded with shoulder pain as their main concerns. In order to improve our user experience, we have tested on various materials to create the changeable strap that is able to reduce pressure and improve comfortability. Besides their pain point, most of the women expressed that they have over 10 bags but only used 2-3 bags regularly. With that, our design hopes maximise the usage of a bag with transformable features where it would cater to their lifestyle.
Ocht is a product of ethical fashion manufacturing that minimizes carbon footprint. The bag is 50% made from lightweight polyester derived from recycled plastic bottles without compromising durability and sophistication.
